About this herb

Flaxseed (flax seed) is hailed as a "superfood" because of its impressive nutritional profile, it is a rich source of many nutrients, including protein, fiber, mucilage, and trace minerals. In addition to providing an abundance of vitamin B1, copper, magnesium, and phosphorus, less than 3 tablespoons provide more than 15% of the daily recommended amount of fiber and 130% of omega-3 fatty acids.
Flaxseed is great in many dishes, such as casseroles, salads, vegetable dishes, cereals, bread, muffins, etc., or ground and added to smoothies, shakes, cereals, soups, or added to coffee grounds for a nutty flavor. Ground Flax Seed is high in fiber and antioxidants.
Flaxseed Gel: The seeds are regularly used to make natural lock gel, boil the whole seeds in water and strain, then use the cooled liquid as a natural hair gel.
Linseed Oil: Linseed oil is produced from pressed flax seeds.
