Bladderwrack is an ocean seaweed plant grown on the rocks of the ocean and sea, it can be used fresh, but its flavor is enhanced greatly when dried. It imparts a salty-smoky flavor to seafood and steamed vegetables.
Bladderwrack contains significant amounts of mucilage, protein, vitamin C, and polysaccharides, including fucoidans, fucans, and algin. Bladderwrack is also a rich source of natural Iodine and trace minerals.
