About this herb
Bladderwrack Seaweed.
Bladderwrack is an ocean seaweed plant grown on the rocks of the ocean and sea, it can be used fresh, but its flavor is enhanced greatly when dried. It imparts a salty-smoky flavor to seafood and steamed vegetables.
Bladderwrack contains significant amounts of mucilage, protein, vitamin C, and polysaccharides, including fucoidans, fucans, and algin. Bladderwrack is also a rich source of natural iodine and trace minerals.
