About this herb
Black tea leaf.
Black tea is from the Camellia Sinensis plant, a small Asian shrub whose leaves are also used to produce other teas, such as Green, White, Oolong, and Pu-erh teas. Black tea leaf is completely oxidized and also known as "Red tea" based on the reddish color of the infusion. Various regions of China specialize in cultivating the tea plant, where tea has great social and economic significance.
This tea is Flowery Orange Pekoe (FOP), whole tender leaves rolled with substantial leaf tips, to guarantee quality and consistency in both color and flavor. Black tea leaf blends well with many other herbs, flowers, nuts, and spices. Liquid infusions are used in cosmetic preparations for hair and skin.
Tea leaves are high in antioxidants that are extremely beneficial to the body.
Our Black tea is cultivated by our organic farming partners in Jiangxi province of Southeastern China.
