Echinacea P (Echinacea Purpurea) has a long history of use by many alternative herbal practitioners. Echinacea is known as Purple Coneflower by modern-day enthusiasts, but it was also known as Snake Root in Native American cultures. Echinacea is believed to have a number of healthful properties.
Native Americans of the Plains and Pacific Northwest of North America called Echinacea “elk root” because injured or sick elk would be observed searching for a consuming the plant.
