About this herb

Roasted Dandelion root (coffee alternative).

A Robust, Caffeine-Free Coffee Substitute Roasted Dandelion Root, also known as Dandelion Coffee, is a naturally caffeine-free beverage that mimics the bold, earthy flavor of roasted coffee beans—without the acidity or jittery effects. It offers a rich, roasted flavor profile with a subtle natural sweetness, thanks to the inherent fructose in the root.

This makes it a favorite among those looking for a nourishing, alkaline, and bitter-free alternative to coffee.

Nutritional & Herbal Profile Dandelion is a nutrient-rich plant, containing: Fiber, protein, and B-complex vitamins Vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc Beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A

The entire plant—roots, leaves, and flowers—is edible and historically used in both food and herbalism. Dandelion root is prized in herbal traditions for its digestive, liver, and urinary support properties.

Culinary & Traditional Uses Brew into a coffee-like herbal tea or combine with other roots and herbs for a custom blend. Add to cleansing tonics, bitters, or digestive support formulas. Use the flowers and leaves in fresh salads or to make jellies and jams. 🌱 This roasted form is perfect for steeping in hot water like a tea or simmering in nut milk for a creamy “latte” experience.

Fun Facts & Folklore Dandelion has been affectionately called names like “monk’s crown,” “dog’s lettuce,” and “swine’s snout.” In France, it's known as “pissenlit,” and in the English countryside, the nickname “piss-a-bed” hints at the root's historical use as a natural diuretic.

Takes a little while to get it, but it is an unusual item. Makes a good tea if you like something different.

Returning customer for the past 2 years. Best roasted dandelion on the market... I ran out of it and ordered some from a different seller from Amazon: worst decision ever. The dandelion from Shelly is the best. Smells like roasted coffee with notes of chocolate. I am thinking about custom order so i can have more than 16 oz at home. I have gastrointestinal issue. Dandelion and burdock are a must for me. Thank you, Shelly. The only downside is that they take took too long to ship. But after that the quality of the root is outstanding.
