About this herb
Minced Onion.
Onion is a vegetable in the Allium genus, which includes Garlic, Leeks, and Chives. Allium cepa has been cultivated for more than 7,000 years all over the globe.
Onion has been used in traditional medicine and cooking for centuries, where it lends “heat” and pungency to foods as a spice. Onion also provides vitamin C. folic acid, B vitamins, and several antioxidant flavonoids like quercetin.
Folklore: Onion has a reputation for warding off evil spirits and ill health.
