About this herb
Fine or Coarse Black Salt.
Black Hawaiian sea salt, also known as Black lava salt, is hand harvested from the coastal waters of the Hawaiian islands and processed through ancient solar evaporation techniques to preserve the salt’s mineral content and give it a crunchy bite, while a coating of activated charcoal obtained from coconut shells provides its distinctive black color and earthy flavor.
Black Hawaiian sea salt complements roasted and grilled foods, and provides texture and contrast as a finishing salt for salads and fresh fruit.
In cosmetics, it is added to body scrubs, baths, natural toothpaste, etc.
