About this herb
Echinacea Purpurea Root.
Echinacea Purpurea, commonly known as Purple Coneflower, is a perennial flowering plant native to North America. Historically, it was also referred to as Snake Root by Native American tribes who revered it as a powerful botanical ally.
Native Americans of the Plains and Pacific Northwest called Echinacea "elk root," after observing sick or injured elk instinctively seek out and consume the plant. Inspired by this, indigenous tribes traditionally used echinacea in teas, tinctures, and herbal remedies.
