Chlorella pyrenoidosa, a single-celled species of freshwater algae may be one of the eldest forms of life on the planet, according to ancient records. Native to Taiwan and Japan, Chlorella multiplies quickly, with a complete reproductive cycle every 20 hours. Chlorella's blue-green algae color is derived from an unusually high-density chlorophyll - more than any other known plant.
Chlorella Powder is dense in chlorophyll and therefore, may be one of the most effective medicinal herbs available. Chlorophyll, which is found in all leaves and stems of green plants, is literally the "blood" of the plant and is similar in chemical structure to human blood cells. The main difference between Chlorophyll and blood is that while human hemoglobin is based on iron, the chlorophyll found in natural herbs like Chlorella pyrenoidosa is based on magnesium.
Chlorella contains an amazing amount of essential nutrients; vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids such as ALA, complete proteins, nucleic acids (RNA and DNA), peptides, polysaccharides, glycoproteins, beta-glucans, chlorophyll, and energy-providing sugars, like mannose and rhamnose. It also contains a vast spectrum of phytochemicals including the carotenoids lutein, xanthophyll, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene.
HOW OUR CHLORELLA IS PRODUCED: Our Chlorella species are cultivated by our partners in Taiwan, without fertilizers or additives, in pure mountain spring water, originating from 10,000 feet above sea level. The plants are grown under strict sanitary conditions, with full exposure to sunlight to promote maximum chlorophyll. After which, the species are spray dried (without heat) to avoid damage to the quality and nutrients. It is then pulverized to powder. Our Chlorella powder is lab-tested before and after drying to ensure consistent quality and purity.
PULVERIZED VS CRACKED CELL WALLS Some companies crack the cell wall of the chlorella algae through sound vibrations, which has limited nutritional benefits and slow absorption in the body due to the cracked cell walls that remain in the supplement. Pulverizing the chlorella cell wall allows the body to absorb the algae's full nutritional profile, as the process eliminates most of the chlorella cell wall. Our Chlorella cell wall is pulverized in a high-energy grinding mill, breaking the cell wall into small pieces.
Chlorella Powder is commonly encapsulated as a dietary supplement, as well as, used as a breath freshener and deodorizer.
